Public recitals are crucial in the development of any professional musician. These live performances are an intimate showcase of countless hours spent planning, practicing, and rehearsing. While a public performance only happens once, a recording of that performance lasts a lifetime... If captured professionally, recital recordings can double as professional portfolio materials, which can be used for audition tapes, competition submissions, and even job applications. By hiring a professional to record your recital, concert, or live event, you are demonstrating your willingness to invest in yourself, your appearance, and your future!

How it Works

First, contact me at justinballrecording@gmail.com to let me know the following:

- Date, Time, Location and Type of Performance (solo, chamber, lecture, ensemble)

- Confirm that you have not already paid to have your recital recorded by the school.

Once I've confirmed that I am available, I will put it in my calendar and you can choose from the following pricing packages.

PRICING

BASIC SOLO Recital - $250

- 1 camera angle (shot on the a7S III in 4K, 10-bit, 24fps)

- Stereo Audio (DPA 4006TL Stereo Pair)

- 1 full recital video

- Typical Delivery within 24 hrs

Add exports of each piece on the recital for $50

- Typical Delivery within 24 hrs

Add individual exports of all pieces on the recital for $50

PREMIUM LECTURE RECITAL - $400

- 2 camera angles (1 wide, 1 focused on lecturer)

- Stereo Audio

- Includes lapel mic audio for crisp, clear vocals during the lecture portions

- Professional editing to keep lecture and performance audio separate.

- 1 full recital video

- Typical Delivery within 48 hrs

Premium Lecture Recital Sample

JOINT RECITALS - $300 ($150 each)

- 1 camera angle

- Stereo Audio

- Titles & names of performers included in edit

- 1 full recital video

- Typical Delivery within 72 hrs

Add exports of each piece on the recital for $100 ($50 each, for a total of $200 each)

Additional Location Fees

Since recitals happen in different locations, there are fees associated with each location depending on how difficult it is to transport the recording gear there.

Off-campus - $50 + travel cost ($0.70/mile)
